The INHECO Incubator MP is an automated and compact incubating position for one standard SBS microplate. The Incubator MP can be used as a stand-alone device, or stacked to form a tower of up to 6 units. Even stacking of different devices of the INHECO Incubator family in one tower is possible, the devices in the tower can be controlled through the master-slave principle. Precise temperature control, USB interface, plate loading sensors and several self test routines guarantee a safe, precise and fast processing of samples. Software and verification tools are available to form a complete thermal solution for all kinds of incubation applications. The unit is a plug-and-play high performance device with CE and UL certification. It is mainly used on robotic platforms and systems in LabAutomation to form a self-contained temperature controlled area for one microplate. The automated drawer system offers direct and easy access by robotic grippers for loading and unloading. The lid is turning 90deg after opening the drawer to enable easy portrait and landscape gripping.

Incubator/Shaker Commands

  • Get Error Flags

    string getErrorFlags(int deviceID)Retrieves the error flags of the specified device.

    Parameters:

    • deviceIDDevice identifier. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 5

    Returns:

    Error flags for the specified device reported as 32-bit code.
  • Get Error Flag Parameter

    string getErrorFlagParameter(int deviceID, int bit)Retrieves the description for the specified bit of the error flag.

    Parameters:

    • deviceIDDevice identifier. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 5
    • bitError flag bit. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 15

    Returns:

    Description for the specified bit of the error flag.
  • Get Extended Error Code

    string getExtendedErrorCode(int deviceID)Retrieves the error status for the specified device.

    Parameters:

    • deviceIDDevice identifier. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 5

    Returns:

    Extended error status of the device. 0 – device initialized. 1 – device not initialized. 2 – labware status unknown. 3 – device not initialized and labware status unknown.
  • Set Shaker Type

    void setShakerType(int deviceID, int type)Specifies the type of the shaker used.

    Parameters:

    • deviceIDDevice identifier. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 5
    • typeShaker type. 0 : no shaker, 1 : with shaker, 2 : deep-well plate incubator. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 2
  • Reset Error Flags

    void resetErrorFlags(int deviceID, int bit)Resets the error flags of the device.

    Parameters:

    • deviceIDDevice identifier. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 5
    • bitError flag bit. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 15
  • Reset Device

    void resetDevice(int deviceID)Resets the specified device without loosing the USB connectivity.

    Parameters:

  • Initialize Device

    void initializeDevice(int deviceID)Initializes the specified device after power-on. All other actions are prohibited before the device is initialized. During intialization, the drawer will be closed.

    Parameters:

  • Get Actual Slot Temperature

    int getActualSlotTemperature(int deviceID, int sensorID)Retrieve the actual temperature of the specified sensor.

    Parameters:

    Returns:

    Actual temperature in 1/10deg celcius.
  • Get Target Temperature

    int getTargetTemperature(int deviceID)Retrieve the target temperature.

    Parameters:

    Returns:

    Target temperature in 1/10deg celcius.
  • Set Target Temperature

    void setTargetTemperature(int deviceID, int temperature)Sets the target temperature.

    Parameters:

    • temperatureTarget temperature in 1/10deg celcius. Minimum: 0 Maximum: 800 Default: 240
  • Get Drawer Status

    int getDrawerStatus(int deviceID)Retrieve the current status of the specified drawer.

    Parameters:

    Returns:

    Current status of the drawer. 1 : open, 0 : closed.
  • Open Drawer

    void openDrawer(int deviceID)Opens the drawer on the specified device.

    Parameters:

  • Close Drawer

    void closeDrawer(int deviceID)Closes the drawer on the specified device.

    Parameters:

  • Set Shaker Frequency X

    void setShakerFrequencyX(int deviceID, int frequency)Sets the shaker frequency for the X direction on the specified device.

    Parameters:

    • frequencyShaker frequency in Hz. Minimum: 66 Maximum: 300 Default: 142
  • Set Shaker Frequency Y

    void setShakerFrequencyY(int deviceID, int frequency)Sets the shaker frequency for the Y direction on the specified device.

    Parameters:

  • Set Shaker Enable Status

    void setShakerEnableStatus(int deviceID, string status)Enables the shaker for X- and Y- shaker drive.

    Parameters:

    • statusShaking status. 0 : off, 1 : on, ND: on without labware detection.
